Kos Nightlife & Chill

Kardamena
Rescue Club in Kardamena
Don't be fooled by Kardamena's peaceful waves lapping against its pristine beach shorelines. Come nightfall this Greek island has a vibrant party scene. The island encompasses the perfect combination of relaxation and clubbing. It’s no surprise this is a favourite holiday spot for DJs to relax after performing in the local clubs.
Start the day off with a full English breakfast at the Banana Beach Bar overlooking a stunning seaside view. Then head to the golden sandy beach of Tigaki and cool off with a delicious fruit cocktail or glass of coconut milk. If you’re feeling adventurous then try out some unique water sport activities including 'The Crazy Sofa’ that pulls you across the waves.
As you head towards the evening you’ll be contemplating the best club night out and there are plenty to choose from. Heaven, Kalua, Fashion Club and Starlight all provide a mixture of paints, UV and foam parties. They all play a mix of house' hip'hop, dance, urban indie and rock ensuring there is a buzzing atmosphere and entertainment all night long.

  • Top Restaurant: Fat Olive is a family-run, beachside restaurant serving traditional Greek food using local ingredients.
  • Top Club: UK DJs such as Judge Jules have played at Starlight, a huge club that can pack in 1000 clubbers each night.
What to expect from Kos
Kos Town

The island’s capital, Kos Town, has a great choice of restaurants to start your evening off. There’s Platanos, which is located next to the castle and serves Greek and international food, and Twin Dragon, a Chinese and Asian restaurant with sea views. Kos Town has a good selection of bars too with Cactus Saloon found on the main road of the town known as Bar Street, and Camel, a bar found in the heart of the picturesque harbour. For something a bit different enjoy an evening at the outdoor cinema Orpheus.

  • Top Clubs: Heaven, Fashion Club and Kalua are the best in Kos Town and are all open until the early hours of the morning – if you can last that long.

Mastichari and Tingaki
Tingaki Beach
Quieter Kos nightlife can also be found in the village of Mastichari, located 22km from Kos Town. There visitors can eat, drink, relax and enjoy the sea views at beachside restaurant Tamtam, or tuck into lots of tasty Greek dishes at El Greco, which has a wine cellar and a selection of champagne for those special occasions.
The nearest beach to Kos Town is 11km away at Tingaki. There you will find a delightful beachside restaurant, Saggitarius, where visitors can enjoy a relaxed evening out choosing from a varied menu of Greek, Italian and even Indian food.
